Full Description:
Sugar bowl (a: bowl; b: lid) by Wilcox Silver Plate Co., ca. 1890. No. 117 12; quadruple plated. Bowl has raised round base, bowl that is wider at bottom than top, indentation around neck and below round rim. Elongated C shaped handles on either side with curled thumb guard at top. Decorative band around base has embossed repeating design of birds with long tails and beaks resembling a woodpecker interspersed with flowers, leaves, and an urn like vae with tulips. Domed lid has finial with knob above expanded ring on stem. Lid fits inside raised rim edge.
