Description: Paperweight made of catlinite, Plains culture area / Sioux, from the Pipe Stone Indian Agency, Pipestone, MN, 1914-1916. Handmade and carved of two pieces of light red orange catlinite, the piece depicts an acorn sitting on a small oak leaf. The acorn cap has a rocker stamp design. The leaf has a lightly incised vein design. The acorn is held to the center of the leaf with two small metal screws.

Description: Trophy awarded at 1907 Olympia Auto Show for best exhibit. Made by Meriden Britannia Company, United States; no. 36. Made of silver tone metal; silver plated. Slightly raised and expanded base with undulating edge decorated with applied acorns and leaves. Center of base is flat with raised concentric circles. Upper half bulges and indents below flaring rim with crenelated rim edge. Pair of curved handles decorated with leaves and acorns. Indented area of neck/rim area decorated with applied leaves and stems.
