Heritage Capital Projects (HCP) supports facilities that provide public access to history.

Worthington Park, Quilcene Historical Society

Since 1995, HCP has distributed more than $80 million in capital grants to support more than 300 community history facilities and historic landscapes.

Washington nonprofits, tribal organizations, local governments, ports, and public development authorities are eligible to apply.

Register in the new Washington State Heritage Portal to create, edit, and submit grant applications and more!

  1. Each team member should register as a separate user under their own email.
  2. It may take up to 3 business days to process a user registration.
  3. Users will receive an email with a link to set their account password after HCP staff have reviewed and approved each user registration.

The current application cycle is for funding during the 2021-2023 biennium.  Review the grant guidelines and attend a workshop to learn more about the commitments of participating in the Heritage Capital Projects Program.

Application Update

The HCP program is accepting Stage 2 applications from organizations that have passed Stage 1.

All materials for second stage of the application must be submitted through the Heritage Portal by June 25, 2020.
