Totem pole figure of a bear, Northwest Coast culture area / Haida, 1880-1930? Made of black stone (argillite? soapstone?), somewhat light in weight. Carved with large head with ovoid eyes, open mouth, arms and feet around front of body and gouge type marks on body area. Back is hollowed out.
