    Small candy box (a) with removeable lid (b) for Krause's whipped cream style chocolates made by the Inland Empire Biscuit Company, Spokane, WA, 1900-1909. Made of paperboard with lid fitting over and sitting on slight extension of box base. Box covered in white paper. Lid covered in light orange paper. On lid is design of green swag hanging from pair of bars with curving Art Nouveau designs in green on orange background. Swag has cactus like appearance with veins and spikes on edge. On green areas are large, multipetaled yellow flowers. At center is white shield with name of "Krause's" in red lettering at center. Name of choclates printed in raised gold lettering above swag. Container information printed in red print on base center of box. Box originally held 15 pieces of hand rolled chocoates with whipped centers.
