To search two or more words, use the plus sign. For example,European+clothing will display results containing both European AND clothing.
To search for a phrase, add quotes around the search term. For example, "dressed in long skirts" will display results containing that phrase.
To search the accession of a catalog number, use the asterisk symbol. For example, 1910.1* will display results such as 1910.1.1 and 1910.1.88.
