    Men's ski cap, ca. 1942. Made of olive green cotton cloth with four metal grommets on the top. Has a pull down flap to cover nape of the neck. Used by Duke Watson on numerous descents until 1981. He was an officer at the Army's Senora Rocks school and served Virginia in the 10th Mtn. Division in Italy.

    Judge John Arthur

    Black and white studio portrait of Judge John Arthur (1849- 1926) taken circa 1905. The head and shoulders portraits shows Judge Arthur looking slightly to the right. He has graying hair and a beard and moustache. He wears a white high collared shirt, black tie and jacket. John Arthur was born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1863. He studied law at Columbia University . In 1883 he moved to Tacoma, WT where we worked as a lawyer for the Tacoma Land Company. He later moved to Seattle. Among his many accomplishments, he also served as president of the Washington State Historical Societyt for many years. He committed suicide in 1926.
