    Large format black and white studio portrait of the Company D rifle team. Five men pose in front of a painted background. They are all wearing military uniform and holding rifles. Each of the men has an indentical medal pinned to their left breast except for the man, second from the left, who has the medal pinned to his right breast and four additional medals on the left. The men are identified, left to right, as: Private E. C. Buckley, Private R. L. Lewis, 2nd Lieutenant. J. Howard Darlington, Bugler Wm. L. Lindsley, and Corporal L. D. Bruns. A note on the back of the image reads: "Co D rifle team. Won 1st prize in Portland. Eleven teams of men from Oregon & Washington competing. September 28, 1901".
