Attached to the thirty inch ruler (2000.109.3a) is red measuring apparatus consisting of a tube, container for chalk, and bulb. Ruler fits into rectangular metal stand (2000.109.3b), made of red painted sheet metal. Hole at on end for insertion of ruler. Screw hole at base. Screw is provideded in small brown envelope, 2 1/4" x 1 3/4", (2000.109.3c). Chalk is provided in a white envelope, 4 3.8" x 3 7/8". Items housed in long, rectangular box. Box is colored bright pink and has image of ruler and drawing of girl wearing a yellow/blue dress and marking hem with the marker.
