The patient, draped with cloth, lies with his feet facing the photographer. A doctor and nurse, gowned, gloved, and masked, stand opposite each other over the patient's torso, and a tray of medical instruments is over the patient's feet. The anesthetist, and the anesthesia machine, are partially visible. A nurse stands at an adjacent sterile instrument and supply table, holding a forceps in her hand. Two surgical basins on stands are in the foreground, and one is on the floor. Bottles and surgical packs are on shelves against a background wall. -
