The facilitated History Lab field trip provides an opportunity for students to practice object analysis like historians by interacting with real artifacts and pieces of ephemera. To prepare your students for a History Lab field trip, consider using this pre-visit lesson plan which introduces students to essential terminology and allows them to practice looking closely at historic objects to deduce meaning prior to their in-person visit.
